Helping authors tell their story, one word at a time.

Hi, I’m Jordan, founder of Yang Editing. I help up-and-coming authors polish their manuscripts and get their stories ready for the world- with rates designed for writers just starting out. Great storytelling shouldn’t be out of reach, and I’m here to make sure it isn’t.

Your novel deserves an editor who reads like a writer and thinks like a strategist. With over six years of editing experience and a background in literature, I bring a trained eye for story, voice, and structure to every manuscript I work on — the kind of attention that comes from genuinely loving fiction, not just correcting it.

But a great novel doesn't just need to be well-written — it needs to connect. My business marketing degree means I also understand positioning: how your story needs to resonate with readers, stand out to agents, and support the goals you have for your book. I don't just fix sentences; I help sharpen the story underneath them.

When you work with me, you get:

  • A literary eye — deep, structural feedback on plot, pacing, character, and voice

  • A strategic mindset — edits that consider your readers and your goals, not just grammar

  • Genre versatility — comfortable across styles and story types

  • Six+ years of hands-on experience — I've seen what makes a manuscript work, and what quietly holds it back

Whether you're preparing to query agents or polishing a manuscript for publication, I'm here to help your novel become the strongest version of itself.

A romantasy novel of stolen power, broken gods, and the girl who was never supposed to touch the Vein.

I had the privilege of editing this dark romantasy novel — a story steeped in fae mythology, forbidden bonds, and a heroine who discovers she holds the one power capable of unraveling a centuries-old seal between worlds. My work spanned developmental and line editing, shaping pacing, voice, and emotional stakes across the manuscript to help the author's world-building and romantic tension land with full force.

Caedyn never wanted power — just enough coin to get by, reading tarot cards in a crumbling museum. But when a séance goes wrong, she's pulled through a threshold never meant to open, into a world of Faengels, sealed realms, and souls trapped in endless limbo.

Velion, a Faengel who sacrificed his own wings to reach her, believes she's the only one who can break the Seal keeping thousands of souls prisoner — including a girl Caedyn thought she'd lost. But breaking the Seal means facing Thariel, a god who has built his kingdom on stolen power and an army of the Hollowed: the empty, obedient remnants of people erased down to nothing.

As Caedyn learns to wield a power she never asked for, she must decide how far she's willing to go — and who she's willing to become — to save the people trapped in the current, and to stop a war that's already begun.
